David P. Faucher, 74, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, passed away at home February 2, 2023.

Born May 27, 1948 in Worcester, MA, he was a son of the late Vincent R. and Mary E. (nee Sullivan) Faucher.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Class of 1970), David worked as a Supply Corps Officer and retired at the rank of Commander in 1990. He was awarded the Olmsted Scholarship and earned a Master’s degree from the University of Montpellier in Montpellier, France. David then earned an MBA from Salve Regina University. After retiring from the United States Navy, David was the finance director for the towns of Middletown, East Greenwich, and Portsmouth. He also worked as the Director of Financial and Administrative Services for Rhode Island Interlocal Risk Management Trust.

David served on the board of People’s Credit Union, was an officer in the New England Government Financial Officers Association and was the treasurer for the Portsmouth Historical Society. David was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Portsmouth, RI for many years.

David was the beloved husband of Patricia T. (nee Keeney) Faucher; loving father of Jonathan D. Faucher (Kimberly), Timothy J. Faucher (Jill), Matthew P. Faucher (Jaime), and Elizabeth Ann Munz (Joshua); adoring grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 1; and dear brother of Mary D. Faucher (Steve Klugman).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:30am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester, PA 19380.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
